Ban on Google Glass while driving?

We've heard a few groups start the banning campaign around where you will not be able to use Google Glass, (Gentleman’s clubs, Gambling Casino’s, etc), so I’m curious when the rule books will be updated to not allow them while driving.

Interesting thing to think about, since driving and texting is still a huge problem and taking many lives senselessly every day.  A good number of states currently have laws on the books with fines for driving while using your smartphone, texting, etc.

I would have to guess that Google Glass will fall into the same category and be added to the restricted list while driving and in my personal opinion, it should.

The following table below includes the latest (state by state) on driving while texting (currently on the books).

High level stats:

Talking on a hand-held cellphone while driving is currently banned in 10 states (California, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Washington, West Virginia and the District of Columbia).

Text messaging is banned for all drivers in 39 states and the District of Columbia.  In addition, novice drivers are banned from texting in 6 states (Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Texas).

The use of all cellphones by novice drivers is restricted in 36 states, including District of Columbia and the use of cellphones while driving a school bus is prohibited in 19 states.
